Happy Hour in Frankfurt: Where to Get Cheap Drinks
As of May 2025. Prices, happy-hour times and opening hours change — please check the bar's website or Instagram before you head out.
Sound familiar? After work, you just want to relax with a drink, but without blowing your whole weekly budget straight away? Then I've got something for you!
In Frankfurt that's surprisingly easy – if you know where to go. I sipped my way through the city (all in the name of research, of course), and here are my favourite happy hour spots for good drinks at a fair price.
AMP Yourself
Right at the end of Kaiserstraße, just before the former ECB building, you'll find AMP Yourself. It's a bar that's all about clean, high-quality ingredients. And the best part: Tuesday to Saturday, all drinks are €8 until 21:00. If you like trying new things like I do, you have to try the Spicy Margarita. Fiery, fresh, perfect for the start of a long evening.
Insider tip: Best to go right at 19:00 – there's still space then, and the atmosphere is good too.
KORKS – Aperol & after-work vibes on Louisen-Platz
A real summer classic: Aperol Spritz for €6.50, Tuesday to Thursday between 16:00 and 18:00. KORKS is small and charming, with living-room vibes. Ideal for your first drink after work.
Karlson – International
Karlson is a club and bar in one, and on Tuesday evenings there are great specials! Not only does the international meetup 'Frankfurt International Tuesday' take place here on Tuesdays, they also sell Aperol for just €6.50. A perfect mix, whether you're starting the evening or winding it down.
PRUNK – Right in the Neue Altstadt
PRUNK knows how to get the mood going: on Tuesdays there's a changing 'Drink of the day' for €10, on Thursdays it's beer for €3 and long drinks for €10, and on Fridays the legendary Espresso Martini for €10. Ideal if you want to start the weekend early.
The ASH – 2-for-1 happy hour
If you're into classics, The ASH is exactly right for you: Monday to Friday from 17:00 to 19:00, plus Friday & Saturday from 21:00, it's "2 for 1" on selected drinks. Especially good news if you like sharing with someone – or simply enjoying double.
Nullsechsneun – Spritz vibes in the Kleinmarkthalle
A real insider tip! Here you can get an Aperol, Lillet, strawberry or Limoncello Spritz for just €5.50 – and regularly, too! Ideal for your traditional, perfect Saturday at Frankfurt's Kleinmarkthalle.
KIWIS – More Spritz, please!
KIWIS Frankfurt has not one but two happy hours:
- Daily from 12:00 to 15:00, it's Aperol, Limoncello & Lillet Spritz for just €5,
- and from 17:00 to 19:00, all cocktails for €8.99.
Perfect if you need a drink after shopping in the city centre, or just want to stretch out the afternoon in style.
BPM at the Hauptbahnhof – After-work Spritz for €5
Between streams of commuters and big-city bustle you'll find the BPM Bar, a laid-back bar right in the Bahnhofsviertel. The €5 after-work Spritz isn't just a bargain – it's also perfect for enjoying the end of your workday and leaving the daily stress behind.
ZINO's – Spritz for €4.50, always!
Yes, you read that right: Aperol Spritz for €4.50, any time. No happy hour, just happy life. At ZINO's near the Römer you get student prices for everyone – but really good quality too.
One last tip before you go?
Of course, this list is just a start! Frankfurt has plenty more hidden corners with fair prices and a good atmosphere. Got an insider tip for cheap drinks in the city? Then message us, or tag us on Instagram with your next after-work Spritz!
