New Year's Eve in Frankfurt 2026: Parties, Rooftops & Events

Sound familiar? Every year the same question: where are we spending New Year's Eve? Here's my overview for 2026 – clubs, rooftops, boats on the Main, galas and dinners in Frankfurt and across the Rhein-Main region.

As of October 2026. Many clubs and hotels only announce their New Year's Eve programme in November – I keep adding to this list. For every event I link the official page or the organiser's Instagram post, so you can check prices and tickets there.

New Year's Eve on the roof – CityAlm (city centre)

• Reserved seat: entry 6–7 pm, fixed seat, New Year's menu, drinks until 11:30 pm, DJ & Hüttengaudi (Alpine hut party) from 10 pm – €149

All three Primus-Linie cruises leave from the Eiserner Steg / Mainkai.

KD's all-inclusive New Year's Eve cruise from Frankfurt can't be booked at the moment – but according to k-d.com, returned tickets may become available.

Shows & New Year's Eve with culture

• Tigerpalast: variety show with a 4-course menu – €325 – tigerpalast.de
• New Year's Eve party at the Oper Frankfurt: buffet, drinks, DJ and dancing from 8:45 pm after the New Year's Eve performance – €145 (performance extra), only a few places left – oper-frankfurt.de

Fireworks ban in Frankfurt

On New Year's Eve, from 8 pm on 31 December until 6 am on 1 January, the city of Frankfurt bans setting off fireworks – or openly carrying them ready to use – on parts of the riverbank and on the Zeil, including Konstablerwache and Hauptwache. In 2026 the ban zone along the Main reaches well beyond the Eiserner Steg and also covers the north and south banks and further bridges. All the details: post by the city of Frankfurt.

Not announced yet

Gibson, Velvet, Cooky's, the JW Marriott, the Frankfurter Hof and many others haven't published their New Year's Eve programme yet. I'll add them here as soon as there's news.

No New Year's Eve at the Main Tower: the restaurant is closed for its holidays from 20 December 2026 to 17 January 2027 (maintower-restaurant.de).

Are you allowed to set off fireworks in Frankfurt on New Year's Eve?

Not everywhere. From 8 pm on 31 December to 6 am on 1 January, fireworks are banned on parts of the riverbank and on the Zeil, including Konstablerwache and Hauptwache. In 2026 the ban zone along the Main also covers the north and south banks beyond the Eiserner Steg, as well as further bridges.

Where is there a New Year's Eve gala in the Rhein-Main region?
